Vampire Diaries Season 3 Promo: Elena Turns 18 and Takes a Stab at Adulthood (omg!)

Who says turning 18 is just about being old enough to buy lotto tickets?

In the new promo for the third season of Vampire Diaries, Elena (Nina Dobrev) certainly seems to be enjoying her introduction to adulthood. Her 18^th birthday, featured in the season premiere (Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8/7c on the CW), is marked by racy sex scenes, an almost violent love triangle and lots of blood, natch ? at least, based on the trailer for the third season.
