Physical appearance
The blue eyes, that's what people first notice about Gary Dresden. The gorgeous baby blues. His eyes are his trademark feature. He has a head of dirty blonde hair, which can get lighter or darker depending on the season. He generally notes himself as a blonde, because that's how light his hair stays about seventy percent of the time. His lips are usually chapped from him constantly picking at them, but he carries around Chap Stick in his pocket most of the time.

Gary is pretty well built, and he works out three times a week, and runs in the morning the other four days. He believes he has the perfect mix of Cardiovascular and Strength work out. He also eats incredibly healthy, you'll never find him wolfing down Mc. Donalds or Burger King. Though, sometimes he'll slip up and eat Ramen noodles when he's working too hard. He's very sensitive about his health and appearance, he wants to be able to maintain a perfect balance.

His hands are pretty big, and rough, and steady. In his spare time, sometimes he does volunteering for building homes. It isn't often, perhaps twice a year, and he always gets told his hands are 'stained from work.' They're all right of course. Nails bitten away from stress, stains from chemicals on his hands. It's all usual stuff, but you can always find Gary with a smile. Because that's what he is- work.
Personality
Ever since the accident, Gary has changed, completely. He is down to Earth and serious about his work. He doesn't take no for an answer, and his line of business doesn't allow him to get close to anyone. He is hands down in a relationship with his work, and wouldn't change that for the world. Sure, he isn't a virgin, but work is his top priority, and he knows that no girl will ever understand that, unless they're in the same profession as him.

Family and love life are little to nothing on Gary's list of importance. Abandoning his family took off a lot of stress. Let me tell you, when Gary gets stressed, his fists can through a brick wall. His anger is never released during work, he would never risk getting fired or degraded. He works his way up the ladder, an ambitious man. He works to please himself and please the board, but he doesn't do it to kiss their ass. Like I said, he's working his way up for him and him only, ambition and passion driving him.

History
It began in a snow storm. That's also where it ended. The snow was raging, and Monica was about to deliver her second son into the world. Getting to the hospital wasn't easy, and Monica was NOT going to have her baby on the kitchen floor. Her husband Allen decided to drive, as carefully as possible, and they made it there in record timing. When I say record timing, Gary was a tad to anxious to come to the real world.

Gary was born into a rich family, which he didn't really enjoy all too much. His older brother was a complete screw up, and Monica and Allen had put all their energy into making sure Gary became the perfect son that they always wanted. A.J, Gary's brother, was addicted to cocaine, just like their father was. Gary's childhood was almost perfect, unaware of how bad his family truly was.

It all ended in a snow storm, right? Right. They were celebrating, celebrating the fact Gary just got promoted in the criminal field, and Gary was late to his own party. Monica was leaving to get her purse when Gary took out the packet of coke, and started to sniff. Monica came in half way, and then his aunt, and his father, and his grandfather. His aunt, Tracey, pushed him to the edge. Stating he was as much a screw up as A.J, telling Gary he was finally living up to the family name.

That changed Gary's life forever. He left, barging out to go to his party. A.J was driving the car, it was a bad snow storm. A.J crashed into a tree, and he died on impact from slamming his head into the steering wheel. He had suffered previous damage from other car accidents. Gary, on the other hand, got flung from the car and landed on a rock, head bleeding.

When he woke up, he was a different person. He knew that much. He had completely forgotten about everything he used to be, and changed his last name. He wouldn't change his first name though, he enjoyed that name too much. So from then on, Gary left his family behind, and moved forward, and is now investigating Pip. Gary now dedicated all his time to being an Interpol agent, has completely forgotten drugs, and sits home on the weekends eating Ramen noodles and reading case files. Typical cop, no?
