CBS drama finales rise Tuesday

While NBC's "The Voice" remained Tuesday's top show in demos, CBS saw gains for all three of its dramas with their finales - including "NCIS," which topped Fox's "Glee" for the first time in 18-49.According to preliminary same-night nationals from Nielsen, NBC narrowly led the night in 18-49, while CBS prevailed in both adults 25-54 and total viewers.For the Eye net, "NCIS" opened with a strong 3.8 rating/11 share in adults 18-49 and 18.1 million viewers overall - the night's top draw in 25-54 (5.2/14) and total viewers; after tying "Glee" in 18-49 a couple of times earlier this season, "NCIS" appears to have earned its first outright, same-night 18-49 victory over an original episode of Fox sophomore hour (3.5/10).Also for CBS, both "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.2/8 in 18-49, 15.4 million viewers overall) and "The Good Wife" (2.5/6 in 18-49, 12.4 million viewers overall) were up week to week with their season finales. "Good Wife," which has been posting its best numbers of the season in recent weeks, will be headed for a tough Sunday timeslot this fall.Elsewhere, NBC ran second in 18-49 largely on the strength of "The Voice" (4.5/11 in 18-49, 9.9 million viewers overall), which was down slightly week to week but still dominated its timeslot. Earlier, a two-hour "The Biggest Loser" averaged a 2.8/8 in 18-49 and 7.0 million viewers overall from 8 to 10.Fox is losing steam on the night, with "Glee" down a bit week to week (3.5/10 in 18-49, 8.8 million viewers overall), placing second in 18-49 but still first among persons 12-34. It was followed by "Raising Hope" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall), which was up a bit with its first-season finale, and the special off-night finale of "Breaking In" (1.4/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall).At ABC, the special "Dancing With the Stars: Freestyle" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 13.4 million viewers overall) provided the net with more competitive numbers than usual in the 8 o'clock hour, leading into week-to-week gains for the "Dancing" results show (3.5/9 in 18-49, 17.7 million viewers overall), which led the 9 o'clock hour. And at 10, "Body of Proof" ended its first season up in some categories week to week (2.2/5 in 18-49, 12.4 million viewers overall).And CW aired the season finale of vet "One Tree Hill" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.5 million viewers overall) and the series finale of rookie "Hellcats" (0.5/1 in 18-49, 1.2 million viewers overall).Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: NBC, 3.4/9; CBS, 3.2/8; ABC, 2.7/7; Fox, 2.6/7; CW, 0.6/2.In total viewers: CBS, 15.3 million; ABC, 13.9 million; NBC, 8.0 million; Fox, 6.1 million; CW, 1.3 million.
