Children, others invited to fencing tournament ? Artesia News

TROY, Mich. (AP) ? Young fencers from around Michigan will be competing in front of the public next month.

The Renaissance Fencing Club in the Detroit suburb of Troy is hosting the Aug. 20 event. The participants are ages 10 to 14 and will compete in foil, epee and saber fencing.

The club says admission is free to the Youth Only Fencing Tournament and says it?s particularly aimed at children who may have an interest in taking up the sport.

The tournament runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
