Our client, an international organization based in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking to recruit a Temporary Finance Officer. You will be directly reporting to the Finance Manager and Regional Commercial Manager - MENAJob purposeTo ensure that the company financial affairs in Abu Dhabi are conducted in a professional manner meeting company's legal, contractual and Head Office requirements and ensuring we are compliant with the laws in the UAE. To provide financial management and accounting services to projects managed by the company's Abu Dhabi Office. Job objectives To assist and support senior staff as directed Ensure financial transactions and records are undertaken and maintained in accordance with Abu Dhabi auditing regulations Assist in all aspects of the completion of the annual audit Administer local monthly staff salaries and associated statutory payments in required timescales, ensuring that the information is kept securely Administer local monthly staff expense payments in required timescales, ensuring that the information is kept securely Ensure all original receipts, bank statements, invoices, timesheets are filed regularly or sent to Head Office, Reading, by the specified deadlines Conduct all bank transfers Conduct cash and cheque transactions, including banking, floats, coding, reconciliations, cash flow forecasts and related issues Advise non-finance staff on required financial processes Deal with any associated queries to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled Ad hoc support to Finance Manager and Regional Commercial Manager - MENA Assist with preparation of management accounts Handles accounts allocations and post of journal entries Review of balance sheet, and profit and loss accounts Manage purchase order register, review and assign PO numbers, PO accruals Generate schools budget reports and conduct reconciliation with budget holders Review of creditors, pricing, credit facilities, and reconciliation with suppliers Debtor's invoicing and collections, and manage aged debtors Formulate policy on payment schemes, performance bond and expenditure spending Support other projects in UAE Northern Emirates and new projects in Abu Dhabi. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Coordinate with UK Head office on accounting and finance requirements Handle utility bills
